How to Tell If Diesel Fuel Is Contaminated — and Its Effect on the Injection Pump

The quality of diesel fuel is the main factor affecting the safety and performance of the entire injection system, especially the injection pump and injectors.
Impure diesel contaminated with water, dust, or metallic particles can cause serious failures that may lead to complete pump or even engine damage.


First: Signs That Diesel Fuel Is Contaminated

1. Hard engine starting
